Winter Cardinals

Tonight Pamela and I arrived at Wine and Canvas ready to paint!

I was especially excited because tonight we were to paint Winter Cardinals and as some may know the Cardinal is our state bird! How fun is that going to be!?!

It was a lot of fun!

I had a great time and you may notice that my painting only has one bird, well after the first bird I was very happy with how he came out so I thought I would stop there!

Pamela went on to paint both Cardinals and hers come out beautifully!

I can't wait till we paint again!!!

Collision

Collision - Sean Hollick 1990s

I dabbled with acrylics in the early 90s and did two paintings. 

This is the second painting I did which I call Collision.

I have wanted to paint many times since then but the timing just never seemed to be right. I have really enjoyed picking up the brushes again. This time I'm not stopping at two pieces either!

Here's to a new era in my painting journey!

Had a wonderful time once again at Wine & Canvas with my wife Pamela!

It is so exciting being able to share something so fun and inspiring with someone you love, I really feel blessed every time we paint together!

But I feel that way every time I look at her too!

They came out wonderfully! If you have never gone to a painting evening with your significant other I would highly suggest it!

Mountain Majesty

Tonight I got to paint Mountain Majesty at Wine & Canvas (Indianapolis, In.). My lovely wife Pamela is out of town for the weekend so she couldn't come with this time but I painted on!

It was an awesome time. If your thinking about trying out this place or one like it I would highly suggest it. It is awesome fun and very reasonable.

Durring the "halftime" break they gave away two or three paintings from the artists that teach the paintings, and I won one! I felt very lucky to be able to have this awesome piece to bring home and enjoy!

Home Studio update!

Today we received the TV I ordered last week from Best-Buy. We plan on using it to watch painting tutorials on YouTube! There are so many great resources on YouTube. Hopefully if all goes well it will get mounted on the wall tomorrow!

It was an exciting day for studio planing as the flooring people also came today They took measurements and we selected new flooring to replace the carpeting in the studio area.

The new flooring is going to be awesome! They will be here Wednesday to install the new floor for the studio. I'll be sure to post before and after photos!

Park Bench

Pamela and I went to Mimosa and a Masterpiece downtown this evening and had a lovely time painting this park bench.

The studio was very interesting and eclectic.

the instructor was really awesome and patient with all of us new painters.

I would recommend this place as it is so different from the other places we have been so far. I think it is fun to experience many different places and styles.

Our first Painting together!

Tonight my lovely wife Pamela and I went to Wine & Canvas and painting our first painting together!

Im looking forward to painting regularly together and solo.

It is very exciting to embrace a new hobby and we both really enjoy painting but have only done so a handful of times over the years since perhaps elementary school>

I'm very excited about this new adventure!
